Natalie D Harris Shelter Insurance is Hiring an Agency Representative Near Avon, IN

We are looking for an Agency Representative who will further develop relationships and provide exceptional customer service and sales to existing and new clients in person and over the phone.

Though our staff is small, our business is not, so the right person needs to be hard working, diligent and eager to help. The hours are as follows:

Monday: 9:00a-5:00p

Tuesday: 9:00a-5:00p

Wednesday: 9:00a-5:00p

Thursday: 9:00a-5:00p

Friday: 9:00a-5:00p

The Agency Representative is responsible for providing superb sales customer service to new and existing clients. The Agency Representative works closely with the Agent to execute the strategic business plan and receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals and adhering to the Agency Guidelines Manual. Performs other duties or special projects as assigned by the Agent.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

New Sales:

§ Responds to referrals quickly and effectively.

§ Prequalifies insurance prospects for insurability and quality of risk.

§ Educates clients concerning agency payment expectations and cancellation procedures.

§ Asks for referral from insureds to help generate new business.

_ Retention and Continuous Marketing_:

§ Works with clients to ensure limit and coverage adequacy.

§ Schedules policy reviews to upgrade accounts and develop relationships with insureds

§ Completes appropriate policy change requests and other account activity.

§ Uses each client contact for coverage review and to cross-sell additional lines of insurance.

§ Contacts insureds to assist in collection of past due premiums or audit amounts.

§ Accepts and handles any duties/prospects as assigned by the agent.

Customer Service:

§ Maintains a high level of customer service with existing and new client opportunities.

§ Processes customer policy change requests and completes Evidence and Certificate of Insurance requests.

§ Maintain, update, record keeping of customer information and contact in management system.

§ Process premium payments from customers.

§ Answer incoming phone calls.

§ Assist clients with filing claims and follow up with adjusters.

§ Respond to inquiries, customer requests, and sales requests in a timely manner.

§ Identify and evaluate customers' needs to deliver satisfaction.

§ Develop insurance leads for agent.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

§ Associate’s degree or equivalent years of experience in insurance industry

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

§ Experience using an Agency Management System or related system is preferred

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

§ Must have or be willing to obtain Property/ Casualty License prior to first day of employment.

§ Must be willing to obtain Life/Health License

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

§ Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with others, to explain complex issues, to receive and interpret complex information, and to respond appropriately.

§ Ability to understand written and oral communication and to interpret abstract information.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

§ Ability to perform sedentary work, exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and exert negligible force frequently, or to constantly to move objects, including the body. May be asked to exert up to 20 lbs. of force periodically, as needed.

§ Physical efforts required include fingering, repetitive small motor activity, grasping, verbally communicating detailed and important information to others quickly and accurately, stooping, reaching, standing, lifting light objects under 10 lbs. frequently, and climbing occasionally.

Working Conditions:

§ High-pressured, fast-paced environment with significant telephone and personal disruption. Large number of multiple steps in complex system performed with accuracy and speed is essential to the successful completion of tasks.
